A perfume is a substance that emits a pleasant odour. Usually it is a fluid preparation of natural essences (from plants or animals) or synthetics and a liquid fixative is used for scenting. Natural ingredients such as flowers, grasses, spices, fruit, wood, roots, resins, balsams, leaves, gums, and animal secretions, like musk and ambergis, in addition to resources like: alcohol, petrochemicals, coal, and coal tars are often employed in the manufacture of perfumes.
Perfumes have been historically used primarily for fragrance. It helps keep unwanted body odour at bay and ensures that you smell good throughout the day. Certain smells can change your mindset, others can make you more attractive. Some perfumes make a person more confident. That means perfumes can change one’s personality. You can feel younger by wearing certain perfumes. Citrus fruit, floral and winter spice perfumes help calm body and mind. If you use lavender scent before you go off to bed, you can go to sleep easily and early. Wearing perfume can help you cure an awful headache also.
Typically, there are 5 common types of perfumes. These include parfum, eau de parfum, eau de toilette, eau de cologne, and eau de fraiche. The main difference between these five perfume types is their fragrance oil concentration. Eau de parfum works great for the colder season because it is stronger in scent, heavier and oilier. Yet, you have to ensure you pick winter-friendly fragrance smells.
Eau de toilette is ideal for the warmer seasons because of its lighter scent. Eau de cologne works especially great for male fragrances, particularly as aftershave and splash on fragrance. Eau de fraiche, just as its name suggests is perfect for refreshing. So, instead of using it as your go-to perfume, it works perfectly for instances where you want to refresh such as at the gym or beach.
